Hey, I've been out of the PSP scene for awhile. My PSP got broken an I finaly got another one (the Phat). I'm used to 3.4oe-a so that should give you an idea of the general time frame I've missed out on.
I'd like to know of any new applications, f/w, plug-ins for the firmware, anything you can give me. Links are appreaciated, and fyi I am an avid Dark_Alex f/w user. Thanks alot guys

I'd really like this one I use to it have, it was both vsh and game and it let me play music from anywhere.... anywhere, anytime. Also, anything that might be fairly cool or interesting. Here's the deal, when I last had PSPtube you still needed a devolpers acount to use it! I had just gotten the first major PMPstreamer graphic update (does that still exist?). How far have the emulators comes? N64 and PSX at full speed yet? Any new crazy apps out?

the plug in is the music prx though i dont think its been made to work with 4.01m33 yet (might be wrong)
theres CW cheats as well thats ok
get the newest psptube and you shouldnt have to add the dev code (i think) i hope they update it again to add vreel umm divx on psp
psx - lots of games sony has its own emulator built into the psp and its very good just need to convert the psx iso into a eboot.pbp and then away you go
n64 - still slow but may improve some day
a good homebrew app to have first is filer it does about everything that you need file wise (rips psp games, move files, copy files, access flash0,1, and RAM) the newest one is 5.3

Thanks, that'll definately help. I already snatched up PSPtube but not the others. I'm at work at Circuit City right now, so could I get some download links so I can just go home and download this stuff?
P.S. someone should create a stick dedicated to new apps that are f/w specific with d/l links. Keep it edited and updated, that should eliminate even more n00b questions, or at least questions that need legthy answers.

the reason for there not being a noob homebrew thread is that its mosty up to the users choice as theres some homebrew i like and some i dont like

Understood, but I mean one that has a description of the homebrew to make it easier to find stuff rather than go on a hunt and search. It's easy to get into a new program when you're just looking for one, but when you're looking to get alot... it's just confusing (still at work)

By the way, I can personaly confirm that the music prx does work on 4.01-m33, and very beautifully might I add.

ever heard of cwcheat ? It's a cheat device for psp. It also works on POPS ! U may want to try that

^^^ good game iv got it on disc on pc and psx and i can tell you iv had it working on 3.71m33 with out pops installed
