Formatted 3.03 OE-B SD Disk. How to set it back?

My friend had a fat psp and asked me to use my pandora battery on it. However, after I tried several time cracking his psp, I realized that my pandora battery is only for slim psp and it doesn't work on his. During the process, I formatted his SD card and ran the recovery mode on his psp and now his psp can't even play anything. His psp was originally 3.03 OE-B and I wanted to at least put his psp back to its original state. I tried downloading the 3.03 OE-A in order to reinstall all the patch files into the SD card but no luck. His psp is still 3.03 OE-B but his SD card is empty. Will someone tell me what to do please? It is kind of urgent because he will be leaving soon and I won't see him until next year!

Go HERE for a 1 Stop update guide.

Start at "SE/OE/LE Users start here..." which will bring you to 3.52 M33-4.

Then you can update to whatever CFW (3.71 M33/3.80 M33/3.90 M33/4.01 M33).

After updating to the firmware he wants format the memory Stick and all folder directories will be created.
