Hi,

I got a chameleon preflashed. I apologyzed for my ignorance in matter.....the red light was flashing..I tried to flash it again with the same bios and the red light doesn't flash. however, the cromwell dashboard still comes up. The cip is still on bank 0 (default). I wona to flash in the evox, what bank shall I use? If the light doesn't blink does it means I screwed the cip up?

It should be ok even if the led ain't flashing. Go get yourself the latest Xecuter bios to flash your chip with!

I have been flashing that shit all night already and nothing yet. The mod chip is from easybuy2000 and it comes with a preflashed bios. The only thing I am getting is the default bios asking me for the linuxcfg.bin...it basically wants to install linux. Any ideas?

hi there,

i have the same problem. new v1.5 xbox - easybuy2000 :-) chameleon chip - and it wants to have the linuxboot.cfg . if i go on the bios menue it says : starting bochs-bios . and nothing else happens. i only want to get my 80 gb hdd installed and play burned games. i do not need linux on there. i tried the xecuter but still the same : linuxboot.cfg. any ideas anyone?????

check this out, if you push the eject button after to clicked on the bios icon it will boot in regular mode. I am really tired of this thing. Hopefully I will get a programmer today I'll let you know how it goes.

i tried the eject button. first the xbox logo came up than a number 13 in the upper left corner and it says : service required . call customer service. what did i do wrong ???? did i do anything wrong when i flashed the bios??

it looks like I flash the bios with the matrix. Now I am trying to get it going with the evolutionX. I am not sure what it could be

i tried flashbios. now it says flashbios 2.28 cromwell and the screen shows up : please insert cd - flashing mode ??????? any ideas?

i finally got mine working with the matrix programmer. I will post some more instuctions on how I did it.
