What updates? The wiikey team has said that they don't plan on releasing any new firmware updates unless they are needed, and I don't think there's a need for one right now as all games still work.

Wii firmware update 3.3 is causing alot of game to not work. I have 3.3J and can only load my US rock band through gecko os with no detection of drum and guitars. Previously, games i buy in the US use to work through the wii key directly. So I say they do need to update the wiikey firmware to allow cross region through 3.3 again.

Drums and guitars are nothing to do with wiikey and 3.3. As I understand it, you can't use out of region hardware on your wii. The same goes for wii fit boards I believe.

The 3.3 update did not stop any games from running sa long as your chip firmware is up to date.

[edit] though I did just find this so it seems like I may be talking out my arse... wouldn't be the first time :)

Is this really true? Hope its not.
However my Japanese wii mote works with an American wii
Or wii motes are different when comparing to hardwares that are dedicated to a single game?

It isn't the Wiikey that is causing the issues with the 3.3 Wii update and games not loading.

It is Trucha Signed game disc.

So if you have a game that no longer works try downloading another backup that is patch free from any Trucha Signed exploits and it should work.

i have the original US rock band game disk and it is not working with wii key 1.9s. All my other original US game disk use to work with wii key 1.9s. So i think it is the firmwares problem. Since i don't think original game disks are trucha signed
