Hi

So i went and bought a wii clip and d2pro v2 already soldered on for my d2b wii (cut legs). The installation looks fine as when the Wii boots the red and blue lights flash once and when its reading discs the lights flashes repeatedly.

Problem is the dvd drive gets alot of clicking noise when reading backups. Originals are fine but backups repeatedly gets an error and restart screen. It can see the backup game as in the Wii menu so im guessing the chip installation is ok as im guessing if the chip isnt installed properly the Wii wouldnt recognise a backup. I also use verbatims and have burnt them with 8x and 4x but with same result. Sometimes it asks for update (eg. SuperMario Galaxy and it can actually update to the latest firmware) but once the game tries to start i get the error screen.

So is my dvd drive just too worn down to read the backups or do i need to update the d2pro? And could i just do an update via dvd drive? Thanks in advance
