Hey everyone, I have ripped the DVD and got it onto my hard drive no worries - and it works when put in WinDVD to play, but then when i burn it onto a blank DVD, the DVD won't read in either my Panasonic DVD player or on the computer. I used Both TDK-R and +R just for experimenting. am i missing something in the process??? Because it does work from hard drive but not when burnt onto DVD. Please help me... thanks guys

Hi ya Spence whats your burnin software? That TDK is what I use its pretty expensive. May I recommend you buy some RW(just a few) media until you get the hang of it. What type of burner ya got?

The TDK stuff i got a couple for free from a friend. So the process is DVD Shrink 3.1 to rip the movie from the DVD. Then using Nero 6 i 'add' the VIDEO files onto the burn section. Once all those files are added then i burn the disc. takes about 20min then says disc complete. (burns fine!) but wont read on the computer or DVD player?? its like there is nothing on the disc... but there is. i'll try on the budget disc's given in with the burner also.

So, when in Nero i choose (make data CD) then from there i click the (Add) icon. From the pop-up i click on the file (VIDEO_TS) and add it into the system.it registers 4,464MB from there i click (next). i nominate my DVD writer then click (burn). ive been reading the instructions that this website offers and what i am doing is what is said? well i'm pretty sure it is?

In Nero choose "DVD Video" from the drop down menu not Data CD. (this assumes you aren't using the express version although I think it has this option also)
Then put all the files you have made in the VIDEO_TS folder that Nero has made for you (if you have them in a VIDEO_TS folder on the hard drive don't put that in just transfer the contents)

Quote: Step 4:
Select the DVD UDF/ISO option, which is the fifth option on the left hand side.
Will work if you create a VIDEO_TS folder and add the whole folder to be installed.

Spence, I go into Nero choose dvd option.
scroll over the picture that looks like movie film then click on burn DVD video files.A new window opens.
Then I click on the flaming X for switches to Nero express. A new window opens
Click on add and a select files and folders window opens, click on the dop down, find your file, click on
VIDEO_TS then add, then click finished and you should see the file in the Nero express window, click next make sure drive is right, name it if you want, and click burn.
Then smoke em if ya got em
