I did try that but no one would give me a proper reply. They would ether hang up or they would tell me to call the manufacturer. Is there any other way I can get the unlock code.
The only other option available to you is direct unlock with hardware, either way, it is going to cost...
As for the operator saying call the manufacturer, the manufacturer has nothing to do with the locks that networks place on them, as all phones are shipped out debranded with original nokia software and are sim free. It is when the phone reaches Cingular, ATT&T, T-Mobile etc... that they implement there software and locks...
