Ok, I just finished soldering it but what do i do next? I turned wii on and nothing different happened, and I tryed to play one of the burned disks but that didn't work either, it just said unable to read.
I have a DSM card or whatever, i dont know what it's called but it says DSM in the spot I was told to look. I might have downloaded one of the updates from nintendo, but it was before I installed it and I cant remember if I let it run or stopped it......
So can someone please tell me what I need to do next in order to get it working if I havent already screwed it up? :) THANK YOU FOR AT LEAST READING!!!
If you soldered it properly, the next step after installing a wiikey is playing a game. Updates to the wii do not matter at all and the wiikey updates can both wait till after a first successful test of the chip. Once games boot then follow the guide to updating the wiikey, which is necessary to play some newer games, but even without the updates the newer games will still be recognized by the wii, they'll just error when you try to play them.
Check your solder points to be sure everything is connected properly. If everything looks good and nothing appears to be bridged then check your burned games on a modded wii that you know works to make sure they weren't bad burns.
First you should verify that your Wii can still read original disks. If you can't you need to check your soldering. Once you can read original disks, then you can proceed to the next step.
