Is my battery like broken for good?

Okay, so I modded my battery into a Pandora and when I was cutting the sides I made a very tiny gash in the silver, it lit on fire a little, and also smoked alot. But to my surprise, it still worked. When I put the battery in my PSP, the little power light blinks amber, the battery seems fried, is there anything I could do to test it and or fix it?

solder it back but if you hard modded it then leave it its not worth it
