Need HELP Replacing Htiachi 79 with a Samsung ms25

I am planning on switching out my Hitachi 79 drive with a new Samsung ms25 drive but I have read so many things I don't understand what is REALLY needed to be done to make this thing work.

Can anyone tell me in a Idiots Guide to this type method??? What should I do step by step to get it up and running???

I do have the SST chip and I am currently awaiting to have my key pulled and emailed to be so assuming that I have the key what do I do/download???? Thanks

i believe you would put the new drive in, download firmware toolbox, open up the ms-25 hacked flash, inject your key into that firmware. save it. and then flash the ms-25 as normal. you might want to wait on confirmation on this though as i have never swapped a drive myself. and i have no idea since you have a chip if that will have any affect on this process

You have to spoof it as a Hitachi 79 drive in order for it to work I think.I haven't tried it out yet,but there are guides already that cover spoofing drives.Your right to a certain extent homesick,but the extra step is needed that is under spoofing firmware.If it was a Samsung ms-28 he could do the method you said with a Samsung ms-25 since they are pretty much the same,but the drives he has are completely different.If you have a Hitachi and use a Samsung you will have to spoof the firmware.The same applies also if you have a Hitachi and swap it out with a Benq you will need to spoof it also.The best thing you could do is search on google or somewhere else until you find a good spoofing guide.I use to have a really good guide bookmarked,but the site got shut down.
