go to recovery mode and then make sure that system files are shown and hidden folders are shown then copy everything to your comp

ps change the thread title to something more descriptive or the mods will close it

no problem to get to recovery mode just hold the power button up till it flashes and then switches off then hold the r trigger and turn the psp on

to link up the flash0 go to advanced then toggle flash0

dont worry as long as you changed it thats fine (not may people do)

ok so i held the power switch until it flashed, then i let go and pushed the r button down and held it, the sony computer entertainment thing came up, the waves wiggled, and then it just goes back to normal. i have my psp connected to my computer, i have it charging, and i have a umd disc in it would those things effect it? i also downloaded music, themes, pictures and movies would those effect it as well?

Offical firmware does not have a recovery menu.

As well the custom theme your wanting to install requires custom firmware. You can not install it with Sony official firmware. So you will need to install the custom firmware before using it.

Go to Ultimate Sticky Thread for guides on how to Unbrick/Install custom firmware to a PSP.

To downgrade (and get a custom firmware) or unbrick your PSP, u need the Pandora's Battery. There is three ways to get the Pandora Battery.

1. Find a someone who has a Custom Firmware that is willing to let you borrow their psp. You will use their psp to softmod the battery. Meaning using software to make the Pandora. If you willing to do this, follow this guide:
GUIDE

2. Hardmod the battery. Meaning that you have to open that battery up, and pulling out a pin. Note that if you pull the wrong one, your battery would be messed. If you are willing to do this, follow this guide
GUIDE

3. The most safest way, is to buy the DATEL tool battery. It is already a premade pandora battery. If so, follow this guide or use the same guide on the second step.
