i would like to know what the best set up is for burning downloaded 360 games. i have searched this site and other sites and people are like use tthis 4 software or use these others and i would like to know what the best ones are to use. i have tutorials but they are kinda the same as all the sites, use this or use this lol...also, i wanted to know if someone can point me in a good direction towards a good tutorial (that works)...also, i have the hitachi drive in my 360 and i flashed it to the ixtreme firmware....
2. The best discs are Verbatim 8X max speed DVD+R DL, and most people would agree with me on that one.
3. The burning programs that most people use are Clone CD and IMGburn. I prefer IMGburn because i have used it for years.
4. If stealth files need to be injected or checked the three programs most people keep on hand are Xbox Backup Creator, Schtrom, and XDVDmulleter. Of the three i think XDVDmulleter does the best job with stealth checks and stealth patching (if needed). XBC is more used by people who want to make back up copies of their original games (for that you also need a Kreon flashed Samsung DVD-Rom drive)
5. The prefered burning speed that i like is half of the discs maximum speed, so for my 8X discs i set IMGburn to burn the disc at 4X
if the game that you got has both the .DVD file and the .ISO files (which any good relese will) here is what you do.
First open XDVDmulleter and run a stealth check on the ISO. The program is fairly simple so you should be able to figure it out. If everything checks out your good to go. If it does not then search for a tutorial on how to stealth patch a game, and where you can get these files.
If everything checks out:
1. open newest version of IMGburn 2. go to mode and select ?write?
3. now browse for and select the .DVD file you just made
4. Select your burning speed, and booktype the media to DVD-Rom if your burner can booktype
5. hit start and burn it.
If you only have the .ISO file and no .DVD file you must take one step before you do the above, that is to manually sethe layer break.
tools-->settings-->write-->layer break. Check user specified and set it to 1913760. Click ok and burn as normal. This is only necessary the first time burning a 360 game
After the layer break is set follow the above burning steps.
