Hello!

I am trying to flash my xbox 360 with the vad6038 dvd drive in it.

My computer Hewlett Packard a1138 doesn't support booting from a USB, so I am using my built in cdrom with ntfsdos program. I'm following the Noobs tutorial for benq drive and putting the firmware on a small partition of my hard-drive.

I am using iprep 1.006.1 and using the benq ixtreme firmware 1.41, after starting with 1.006 and ixtreme firmware 1.4 with dos flash 1.3 beta.

I installed a pci v6421a card and installed the drivers. I had read that to overcome having to put a switch on the dvd drive I should upgrade dosflash. In the install folder of iprep I put dosflash 1.4 beta in. I also updated firmtool to 1.2, used the update xml and check marked the patch mtk flash option.

When I reload through the cdrom and get into ntfsdos, I get 0x7f after I enter "y" to the question, "Do you want to resend the command until the drive responds?" After I turn the xbox on, it then switches to 0x80 and just hangs there. Incidentally, I was getting the same responses when I used iprep 1.006 with the original dosflash and firmtool

I'd be grateful if anyone might be able to offer some recommendations?
