I'm sorry if this question has been repeated but i tried to search Japanese but found nothing related to my question.

I have a japanese wii that has been modded, but i can't really find any wii games. I would like to start downloading wii isos. I am familiar with uTorrent and their services and i understand how to download etc. The only problem is with the regions.

Having a Japanese Wii, I am not sure which games to download. On most torrents they usually have [USA] or [PAL] or [NTSC]. I'm not sure which one that i need to download with my japanese wii. Could anyone help? Thanks!

With a moddded wii you can play games from any region. Depending on your chip, you can either run other region backups directly or you could run them through Gecko Region Free. (remember to use brickblocker on games first if running out of region disks)

If you want Japanese backups then just use ones with JAP in the torrent title.

Thanks for the very quick reply ggbarnum :)

Therefore, no matter what chip i'm using i can download any game? Regardless of USA/Europe? My Wii is capable of playing an original Mario Strikers Charged Football game (PAL) from Europe, but it double channeled my weather and something else (i used double channel remover 2.1 to do that).

So i should just run the games through Gecko Region Free and brickblocker? Thanks loads again!

Yes, you got the duplicate channels because you allowed an out of region update to run, if your firmware had been updated then, you would have semi bricked your wii. Just run an iso through brickblocker first and all will be fine.

Thanks alot again :D Could you link me to a guide for exactly how to burn the isos? Apparently, you need to burn them at a low speed and stuff, but there isn't an exact guide.

Thanks again!

Burn using ImgBurn on verbatim dvd-r disks at 4x speed and all should be ok. I also use memorex dvd-r at 2x speed and have not had a failure with them either.

Oh btw, do you think downloading SSBB will brick my wii even though i run it through brickblocker? Or does brickblocker remove its regional update feature? Thanks again

brickblocker remove the update from the iso so it wont load the update msg, however, u just might not be able to play it becuz u dont have the required firmware.
