The D2Pro V2 uses different wiring with a D2B Wii when soldering so could well require different soldering with the clip. I don't know.

Are you sure the clip you bought is compatible with D2B ?

Ok, well Don't know then. I guess the usual applies, are you sure you are connecting the chip fully. They can be fairly tight fit sometimes. If all is definitely correct then you could have a duff chip. Don't have a clip myself so maybe someone else knows a trick or two.

How many points on the D2Pro chip are soldered onto the clip. Like ggbarnum said, the d2b wii has different requirements. Only 5 points connected for a D2b wii, 9 for D2c/D2C2. If yours has 9 points soldered on the chip, it was meant for a D2C/D2C2. If thats the case you can research and find which points to unsolder, if that's not the case then maybe someone else can help.

Might want to check the bottom of the d2pro chip and see if it has either a green "d2c2" or blue "d2e" compatible sticker. As far as I can remember the older d2pros without stickers were not D2B compatible.
