I have a psp that won't turn on with a regular, fully charged oem battery. If I plug it into the charger I get the charging light to come on. Now if I insert my pandora battery and magic memory stick (I know both of these work fine) I get the green light to show up but nothing else, screen stays black. I'm looking for some advise as where to start trouble shooting or any suggestions if anyone has had this same problem. It's a 1000 model. The screen was fine the last time it was working.

I would say you have damaged hardware (LCD or the connector, etc.)...that's the only reason I would see for the screen staying black, even with a pandora battery and magic mem stick inside...

I think you might be correct, I have an extra working psp I will be taking apart in the next few days to swap parts and test. I will post a solution (if I find one) so if anyone else has this same problem.
