Recently a friend bought a used copy of COD4 and we started playing it and it came up with a "unreadable disc" error after the "all ghillied up" mission. So, he went and exchanged the game for another used copy. Only to find the second used copy was having the same problem. After that he returned it and got a new copy. Only to find the new copy is doing it as well. He then gave me the new disc to try in my 360, it also has the error on my console. I'm wondering if anyone has had this similar problem? I tried google-ing it and it didnt come up with much info. Any help would be appreciated.

ill get the "unreadable disc" disc error on this game every now and then....but after reset the concole everything is ok.
strange that you have tried many games on 2 different consoles and cant get past that mission..never heard of this before.
I dont have any suggestion either :-(

All of these copies that you tried are orignals? And you got this error?

Yes, every copy was a legitamite copy bought from a retail store. All three copies produced this error at the same mission on both consoles. Very weird stuff.

Plain and simple... your laser is either dirty or it's on its way out. Yes, some discs may still read fine. It all depend on how much searching the laser has to do when a game is being played.

Agreed, very strange indeed. Afraid I've got no advice on this one as well. Seeing how they are original's don't make much sense?
