I think not. Because ram is where system's processes run, it may work if you try. it's 50/50...

I'm not here to question your intelligence, but I don't think this has anything to do with your RAM. Just use flash 0, thats what its for. Or else Pandora it.

actually if you look in the readme of the pack that XMBeditor v2 comes in, it says that it can corrupt your RAM (white squares behind your icons.) but dont worry, I have replaced the RAM chip on my MOBO with my lil' bros broken psp's one. It works fine now. Binkie please close this thread.

No, you didn't. RAM on the PSP is un-replaceable, in an inconvenient spot to take off, and you need to desolder and resolder without shorting the damn thing out. If your RAM is corrupt, all you need to do is reboot, since RAM completely erases itself when there is no power running to it. That is called VOLITARY MEMORY. Flash0 in involitary, so it doesn't need power. flash1 is volitary, and thats what the CMOS battery is for.

So, if you have corrupt RAM, take out the battery. If you have ANY knowledge of basic computers, you would know. So shut up.

I agree. It is Vigorous work not to mention extremely risky and merely impossible to de-solder and re-solder the pins of the ram on the mobo.

it is possible to have bad ram, like in computers, but it being a psp, the chances would be very slim. since all the hardware is the same from the factory, a bad batch would be detected quick.

unless you have a super fine tipped soldering iron, and super steady hands, don't even think about touching the mobo.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Just use a Pandoras battery to unbrick your psp
it happened to me so i just unbricked my psp and everything was fine
ive had no problems since

DO NOT LISTEN TO DARK ZAK ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO REPLACE PSP RAM
plus theres no reason to replace ram on a psp

RAM=a computer memory on which data can be both read and written and on which the location of data does not affect the speed of its retrieval; especially : RAM that acts as the main storage available to the user for programs and data ?called also random-access memory

Yeah, it's possible to have bad RAM, but you won't make good RAM go bad because of a program. If it is good out of the factory, it will stay good forever, lest there be physical abuse involved.
