I recently got a WiiKey and started playing some backups of my games to see if they worked, but in some games the sound becomes distorted, like the sound a TV makes when your using composite cables and the white/red one isn't plugged in properly. Sometimes it stays, sometimes it goes after a few seconds.
Anyone know why this could be happening? I hope I explained it well enough

I don't see how it can be a disk problem. It sounds more like a hardware issue of some sort.

Check your wiikey installation for bridging, dry joints, damage etc etc. Sounds like you are getting some for of interferece.

If it was just one game, I would say it was a bad burn or glitchy iso. I had something similar happen with pikmin 2. But in that case it only happened in specific places that were the same every time.

But if it's every game and random locations I agree with ggbarnum. Check your solder points and make sure your cables aren't faulty.

Thanks for the replies. I'll try reburning, and if that doesn't work I'll go to the guy who gave me the WiiKey since he has a lifetime warranty. I'll report back if I get any progress.

OK, I tried some stuff out and it does only happen in certain places. It happens in both Harvest Moon: MFOMT and Alien Hominid, so maybe I'm using a bad brand of DVD so I'll buy some Verbatin DVD-R's someday and reburn. Will report again in case others have the problem
