Whats the diference beetween 8x DVD+R DL, and 4x DVD-R DL?

Because i asked a friend to burn a game, and he burned it on a 8x DVD+R DL, it works fine, but then i burned one on a 4x DVD-R DL, and when i put it on my xbox it says "Unrecognized Disk"

Anyone know whats up?

from what everyone has said to me is that 360 backups have to be on dvd+r DLs only...no -rs

yeah I couldn't get dvd-r dl to work. glad i only bought 2.

DVD-R DLs don't work with the 360 because you can't set a custom layer break with them.
