Hey,

Like the subject says, I just got an old school fat psp a few days ago and I grew tired of the limitations and planning to install custom firmware on it. Even tho it's obvious that I should just read the stickies, I'm still confused and lost whenever I try to find a good tutorial to install CFW on it from scratch.

I know the simple procedures now but still I don't know which tutorial would suit me the best.

All that I know about my PSP are the following:
- The firmware is currently 2.00 (official but that's pretty obvious)
- The battery is the original battery the first model psp came with

I only want to get CFW on it and I don't really need anything else. I just want to use homebrew software and games on it. Would anyone be kind to point me out the right tutorial/guide to do this?

I know that I would get "google" or "read the stickies" but the problem is that I really get confused halfway after reading a few of them. And since I am a total "n00b" to these kind of things, I feel like I might be doing following the procedures from the wrong tutorial.

If you are on 2.0 ofw then use this to get to 1.5

from there. install cfw from D_A's site:

note: you will need to go to 3.52m33 before going any higher (ie. 4.01m33)
