I have finally opened my console and found that I have the chip D2D v1.1 installed.
Can you experts please give me information on this chip such as features, benifits, negatives, price info, software upgrade and how it compares with other chips available on the market.
Thanks in advance

Also this is all I can find on google.
D2D : a new chip of very high quality build and refinement - improves greatly on other 9 wire modchips available - The D2D supports both D2C and D2C2 Wii Drive Boards for the most simple and Stable modchip for New wii consoles available

no, you're not, I also have it, so it makes us the only 2 people who actually bought it.
I am having problems running some games, and I wonder if it is because of this chip..
I have a D2C2 console, so the chip guy told me the only one fit for me is the D2D.

Sounds like he was trying to unload the chip on you. D2Pro9 supports D2C2 chipsets and is most likely much more reliable than that chip.

lucky you!
I have an NTSC-J console, and none except one (top spin 3) of the NTSC-U/PAL games I tried work.. that leaves me with Jap. games, which I barely can play due to the language barrier..
