Not all routers have a DMZ, which model of Arris do you have?

So, you are wired from a phone jack > Modem supplied by your internet service provider > Arris router that you bought > wired to your PC & PS3 ? Your PC works fine but PS3 does not?

Check this link out. http://forums.speedguide.net/showthread.php?t=189226 They seam to be having the same problems. There are some solutions. BUT, it sounds like you do not have a router. I do not think you can change your PS3 MAC address to match your PC MAC address.

? Is your Aris Modem a Multi-Port router or just a single port Modem.

you do not have to buy a wireless. you may be able to talk to your internet service provider about your problem incase it is a IP conflict. They may have an easy solution.

ive asked them all about it and they said they know nothin about the hookup with the ps3 but to get ahold of the playstation network service. so i did and they said they need an ip address from my internet service provider. so i called comcast back for my ip address so i can do manually and they said ip's change. so what would u suggest to get connected to the internet if i dont need a linksys router?

Im not sure if you need a router or not. I have a linksys wrt54gs. It works ok. It may take care of your problems thow.

ok ill go get one because this whole connecting to the itnernet is so difficult. u think i should get one of those usb port things that send out the wireless signal from ym computer for the ps3 also? or is that wut the linksys router does?

that is what the wrt54gs does and at a greater signal strength. BUT if it is going to be close enough to the PS3 that you can use a wired connection, then just get a router. A router is cheaper and has fewer problems.
