Hi guys, i am getting ready to do a case mod, but i have found no tuts on how to install the plexiglass. could you just overlap the glass with the case and glue it to make it seamless? nevermind i got the info...

After you`ve made the cut you decide how big a piece you will need to leave over 5mm overlap all around for the gluing area. You then cut out your 2mm plexi carefully. I use a dremel with a circular saw attatchment as this has never cracked the plexi.After this check fit etc then clean plexi and 360 case and apply plexi glue to the case. Place plexi down into case and weigh down with a bag of sugar or something to ensure good contact. Leave overnight and the plexi is bonded to the case top. To be honest it isn`t that hard other than cracking plexi while cutting or moving plexi while glue is drying.

Yeah but I'd like to find a good way to make that window flush. One tut I saw said that you cut the plexi a shade larger than th window and then use the tension to hold it in place.

XBOX Halo Ed. = DuoX2 w/250gb HD
Xbox 360 Red Elite 120GB HDD = no-stealth 1.6 & XBReboot V3 & 1TB usb hdd
PS2 Slim = freemcboot v1.8 - PSP Black Slim = 5.00m33-6
Wii = w/ Blue XCM ii-case, Wiikey2 & softmodded

using the tension seems a bit iffy. If you grabed the case by that side and picked it up, its liable to pop out.
I was thinking that making the edge recessed or something might work better for a flush look.
Or just cut it to size and wipe off the excess glue fast, that seems to be the simplest thing to do.

I've done a couple on the regular xbox and to make it flush it's best to cut your plexi and then take a pencil and trace your plexi where you want it. Then cut the case on the inside of the pencil leaving a little bit of room. Then take a dremel with a sanding bit and fix all your edges so the plexi can fit through the hole. Put some tape on the outside of the plexi under the case and sit it so it is flush with the case, then on the inside use some epoxy and run your expoxy into the little cracks and it should turn out perfect when it hardens. The tape is so the expoxy doesn't come out and around the outside of the case.

I wish i had a picture to show you but i don't remember taking any pictres of it. I use the superglue quick setting expoxy 4-6 mins. I think that's pretty straight forward the way i explained it but if you have any questions let me know.

yes you can get it at home depot, or lowes, or menards, any of the big lumber retaliers. and yes they should be capable of cutting it for you. the home depot cut mine when i was at college last fall so i could finish the side panel on my desktop case.
