I am updating to 2.42 now, any ideas what's new in this?
Most sites says that enhance playback quality.

If you play music, then press the ps button to go back to the xmb there should be a Now Playing feature.

i havent played music with 2.42 yet, but if you mean the playback controls, are there from 2.40FW.
IMO FW updates like this i think is more to fix a hack-hole to the xmb that they found rather to improve playback quality, they just find excuses like this.
