Xbox 360 Media Connection

Okay my Xbox 360 doesn't seem to find my pc in the network. My pc is connected to a Netgear DG834G router wirelessly and the Xbox 360 connected to the router via an ethernet cable. I believe this is all what I need to connect my Xbox with the computer through the router. I start to search for a pc in the network but the Xbox can't find. I test the Media Connection and it fails at the PC Selection part. It states that a media sharing software should be installed and enabled on the computer, and I'm using Windows Media Player 11 with the media sharing enabled and the computer finding the Xbox 360.

I did try before to connect my computer to the router by an ethernet cable and it succeeded. I can't connect it to the router using a cable all the time because both devices are in different rooms.

So is there a way to connect the Xbox 360 to my computer with my set-up?

same thing is happening to me. i have the zune program installed on my pc. when i go to test my media connection, when it goes to the step where it says pc selection part, it says failed. i dont know why isnt it working? i have the file sharing option enabled on my zune program.

Have either of you gone to Xbox.com and used the wizard there for how to set up the media connection?

Of even tried another software like ORB or TVersity instead of WMP11 or Zune?
