This usually happens with cheap media.

Dialysis is right on.

Read the link you were provided; the best freeware method is listed there.

Get some good quality blank media. Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim.

Burn at half the rated speed of the disc, or 6x to 8x max.

Before you download any software, check it out. Check the ratings. Check if it's adware and malware free. Check if other users are having problems with that software and the quality output of the software. Check if the software has good support from the author. The program you're using has a 14 day trial and is reported to have adware.

If you're looking to convert, look at DVD Flick or FAVC. Both are free.
For burning, the top rated software just happens to be free. It's called ImgBurn.

Adware is any software package which automatically plays, displays, or downloads advertisements to a computer after the software is installed on it or while the application is being used. It's best to stay away from it.

Imgburn, as Dialysis stated, is not only one of the best burn engines out there, but it's freeware, and malware/adware free. You'd do well to try that.
