I might be bringing up a very old topic but I'm having problem since I've been following the guide.
I've extracted the mkv and it's finished muxing. Problem is. During this part...
"....
audio conversion (part 3 of conversion)
11. open up Ashampoo MP3 AudioCenter.
Choose convert files
Click the add button....add the jpn audio you just demuxed from MKVextractGUI....click next
Tick the wav box....click next
Tick keep quality...click next
Tick nomalize volume...click next
Tick in a folder somewhere on my computer..the browse to where you want to save it......click next.
Click start..this only takes a couple of minutes.
12. close down Ashampoo MP3 AudioCenter. "
Problem is that Ashampoo doesn't recognize AC3 audio. The mkv I downloaded contains an AC3 audio. So I"m pretty much burned here. Any help or suggestions. Anything that might not sabotage the audio quality. Hoping for replies. Thanks!
Edit: Ugh, it turns half my words into links. I am going to put the useful links in bold...
When the active members die, silent members like me come to life... yep. You know, searching 'ac3 to mp3' on google gave me about 600 thousand hits. Actually, if you want, you can just download Xvid4PSP and convert directly from mkv to MP4PSPAVC.
2. Then download and install Xvid4PSP. You might also have to install .NET Framework 3.5 if it tells you to.
This Xvid4PSP guide may be a little outdated, but maybe it will help. You will probably still have questions about using Xvid4PSP, and if you care to reply I will do my best to answer them, despite my crappy dialup connection.
Aha, silly me. Yes, it can be done, and there are 2 ways to go about it.
1.) You're already using MKVextract, so you can extract the subs then reinsert them in Xvid4PSP via the menu: Subtitles -> Add.
2.) (I have not tested this way, but it's probably the better method.) When you load your video into Xvid4PSP, the icon for 'ffdshow video decoder' will show up in the system tray (it's red). Right click it, select 'ffdshow video decoder', then in the new menu scroll down to Subtitles. You can change the font size and stuff this way.
P.S. It's tempting to bump your threads, but it's not always a good idea since it can make it look like your post has been already answered. Here's hoping this works for you, then.
