Finally, some decent + format media from the web at 20 cents each!!!! The last few week's B&M store sales has been very poor.

I'll avoid the fuji's. I will stock up on the ridata's for that price. Thanx for the link rtm27!!

Newegg has been keeping ridata at that price for a while. Every so often they raise the price by charging shipping. I've noticed they have kept the price at $19.99 for 100 for a while now.

Perhaps other more knowledgeable can offer advices and/or opinions. I am relatively new to the scene so cannot make any comments about TDK media.

According to dvd identifier :

Manufacturer name: CMC Magnetics Corp.

Manufacturer ID: CMC

Media Type ID: M01

Still have about 200 or so left. Haven't had a single coaster in the whole batch.

I would honestly pay the $3.00 more for the Sony's. I have had terrible luck with TDK's in the past. And I steer away from ANY media ,made by CMC Mag. Just my opinion from direct experience with TDK Media. Good Price though!
For me: Sony & Verbatim = 99%+ success rate.
TDK= <-50% success rate.
It really all depends on your burner, firmware, etc. Also, dye rot occurs in all media. Sony & Verbatim use AZO dye which holds up very well. Some people have great luck with TDK. Just not me.

Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

I have had great luck with TDK. They are my favorite. I have a +90% with TDK's...about 94-95%.

Sony's have actually given me the most trouble....85-90% success.

In some circumstances there are burner and media compatiblilty issue with all discs.

If you are going to buy 1 pack of 50, it might be worth it to pay $4 more for SONY, but if you are buying 8 packs like above, then definitly go with the cheaper RITEK or CMCMAGs.

Not bad. Gigaware 25 pack DVD + - R is $5.99 each. I bought some several months ago in the 50 packs. They coded out as Ritek & Ricoh.

I use many CMC MAG M01 in the Maxell 16x +R guise and can confirm they work very well indeed. I prefer the RICOHJPNR03 but you can no longer be guaranteed the Ricoh's, in the Maxell guise anyways
