Hy, I have a ISO file from a game that I found on internet.
It's possible to upload (FTP) this .ISO to Xbox HDD and play it? My Xbox 360 is stock, without any soft or hard mods.

If it's possible, how can I do that? I can't find any guide to this.

I know that the next dashboard will play games in the HDD, but I think that only original games that I have.

Thanks

you can't find a guide because there isn't one. It can't be done.
The only games you can play off of the hard drive are one's that you buy and download through Xbox Live Marketplace

So, in order to play downloaded games, I have to burn into a DVD? And to my Xbox read this DVD, I have to upgrade my DVD drive firmware.
That's it?

That is correct. You have to burn to a DVD+R DL dual layer disc. And you have to have a modded console (a flashed DVD drive).

Thanks steimy ..

But If I can't play my games on HDD, why the Xbox Elite have 120GB HDD? Only to play trailers and demos that I should download with Xbox Live and save my games profiles?

That's suxs.. It's a lot of space for nothing :(

no, it has the space for downloaded stuff from Xbox Live Marketplace. You have games, game trailers, Arcade games, Movies, TV shows, Downloable game content that you buy like cars for Forza or songs for Guitar Hero. And of course you game saves. And you can store music on the HDD that you rip from a CD.

Now the new fall update is said to have the ability to rip games to the HDD. BUt it also says you still need the disc in the drive to play them which to me says worthless. The whole reason i loved my original Xbox was the 320GB hard drive i had in it and the fact that i could play games without discs and switch from game to game without getting off my fat but, LOL

That's what I'm looking for with Xbox 360. Switch games without getting off my chair.
I hope that this new dashboard will be hacked soon and won't need the original DVD to play the games from HDD.

I would love to see that myself. Becaue my original Xbox can still do 10 times the things that the 360 can as far as a media console. And it does them much better.

The only draw at all for me was the newer and better games on the 360.

This is what i would like to do to Microsoft

there are so many features, other then playing back up copies, that people modded their origianl Xbox. And Microsoft could have realized this and put some of those things into the 360 and made a console that would have blown away the competition.
for instance:
1. being able to play all your games from the hard drive
2. A much better media center that could play many more file types, and was much better at doing it
3. Much easier way to stream media, such as shoutcast radio.
4. the ability to transfer files between the PC and your 360 hard drive via FTP. Things like game saves, music and media files, dashborad theme's, and so on.
5. a built in internet browser
and so much more
