OK, your asking a lot of questions people can't (or won't) answer due to forum rules. I will help as much as i can.
1. Use any site you like, no one is going to link you to a site where you can get games illegally.
2. You should know what version console you have. Try looking on one of the games you hopefully bought for it. Usually USA is NTSC, Japan is NTSC-J, and europe is PAL 3. I have no idea what they mean by "strait rip". Because if you have the correct drive in your PC and you make a direct rip of the game with XBC that IS what you want. But your going to have to check every single one you download with XBC or DVDMulleter to make sure it is stealth patched anyway.
4. any program that can burn an ISO file (CloeCD, Nero, IMGburn) will work. You should really do some research before you start downloading and burning anything or else i can tell you that you will just be wasting your time. By the very basic questions you ask here i can tell that you have absolutly no idea what your doing.
5. Seeds and leeches are what sites call uploaders and downloaders. The person who is has the file (the person you are getting it from) is the seeder, the person getting the file is the leech.
I also hope that you know these simple facts
A. You need a modded system to play back up games
B. you need to use DVD+R DL discs preferably Verbatim
C. If you use Xbox Live with burned games you stand a chance that you will have your console banned. Once this happens your console will never be able to access Xbox Live again.
A friendly reminder, and a word of advice to all. if you happen to be affiliated with a p2p program or a "torret" service make yourself aware of what you are doing. "SEEDING" is a totally different ballgame in certain peoples eyes as opposed to "LEECHING". So double check your settings and make sure you are not a person who has a "SEEDING" problem.
steimy handled the bulk of your questions ... homesick is dead on w/that tip ... if u are downloading from a torrent site ... Seeding back is extremely important ... most sites require holding a 1:1 ratio - meaning what ever the file size you download - you must upload back ... also torrent sites are risky business as some are monitored (u must have shit luck if u do get caught but it does happen) so ur best bet, if u must use torrents, is use a private site (one that is invite only)...
and a straight rip, im pretty sure, is referring too a rip that is not touched (not stealthed, or iXtreme compatable) ... if ur playing online you must use a stealthed backup or ur inviting a ban ... to check if your rip is stealthed - use XDVDMulleter (google it - its free)
