Uh, I'm no expert, but maybe you should check to see if it's got an audio stream at all.
Does it play fine on VLC or Media Player Classic?

Can you tell what your video and audio streams are? If the audio format is AAC, then it's not going to play on the PS3. (I've been having this same problem.) You'll have to convert it to AC3 in order for it to work on the PS3.
Since the video is m2ts, it'll play fine (which it does). Compare your m2ts to your other m2ts files - do the others have a different audio format than the one you're having problems with?
That seems to be the most likely answer.
...then again, I'm pulling this out of my ass, so who knows. Hope it helps, though.

Uh... try this, then.
1.) Download TSMuxer, unzip it, and run it. (It's all-inclusive, so there's no installing necessary.)
2.) Set the Output to "Demux," and then open your m2ts file.
3.) You should see two streams there - your video stream and your audio stream.
If you only see a video stream (the TS one), then you just don't have any audio in the m2ts container.
If you see both streams, then demux them both.
4.) You should then be able to convert the audio stream into a compliant .ac3 stream. (I use MeGUI just because I also use it to hardsub my videos, too.)
5.) Mux the new .ac3 stream and the .ts video into the m2ts container again, and it should work properly.
6.) If it doesn't work, let me know what the audio stream is and I'll get back to you on that.
So, simplified:
1.) Download TSMuxer.
2.) Demux.
3.) Convert audio.
4.) Mux.
Hope that helps.

m2ts files don't play with mpeg audio, you should convert them to ac3 using VLC wizard

I'm also having the same problem. The MKV has audio but when I put it in tsMuxer there is no Track 2 or audio track. It plays fine on VLC player.

Run it through delay cut, this may fix whatever is wrong with the track. Or convert it with eac3to/eac3toGUI to another AC3 track.
Could you possible upload the track if it is small enough.

Upload it where? And is the delay cut in eac3toGUI? Thanks for helping out by the way Odin. :)

I believe you can get delay cut from www.digitaldigest.com, eac3 you can get there as well, or here... I think. They are two separate unrelated programs.

I thought eac3 was free. The site you gave me must be wrong. It's ok though odin I already have eac3to and eac3GUI. I will keep working on this MKV file and if I have more problems I will post about it.
