I need some help!!! I've been fighting a bad connection to the host of games on COD4. I have a Linksys WRT54GS router with my DMZ setup. I've tried disabling my UPnP. Tried several different DNS numbers. I even tried connecting with a wired connection and was able to get a NAT 2 with the wired connection but I still only get one bar when I am in the games. Sometimes I will start with a good connection but will lose it shortly after the game starts. I checked my internet connection speed with www.speedcheck.net and it is fine. I even took it to another house and tried it but got the same result even though I had a NAT 1. Had the same ISP at second house. Could it be my PS3 ethernet card? Any help would be much appreciated.

You mean it's saying Connection Interrupted?

Most likely it's not your connection, IW's servers have been complete garbage latley.

Are you running wired or wireless? Something in 2.40 and up has caused a bug in some peoples' ps3s in which the wifi and bluetooth interfere with each other. If you are having connection problems try going wired and I bet that fixes your problem.

I am wireless but I have tried wired as well but got the same result. The only difference was I got a NAT 1 instead of a NAT 3. The latest thing I did was change my DNS numbers both to the same address as my router (192.168.1.1). Also I went in and disabled my UPnP. I can hear on my headset but can't talk but I have had a good connection since I did it. Today my connection wasn't any good but neither was a lot of other people.

Please note that IW's servers have nothing to do with connections. COD4 games are hosted by users.

Are you having connection interrupts or just a bad connection. Also, what is your ping? If your ping is above 100 or so you will probably have two yellow bars or even a red bar.

My ping time is high. What do I do to fix that. I checked my connection at speedtest.net and when I checked it with the closest one my ping was 200ms and when I checked it with one over seas it was 600. The thing is that I may start with a good connection but then it drops down to one bar. It was doing pretty good but now its back to junk. Now it's starting to kick me off with connection interrupted. I need to get this fixed because it affects everyone else on the game, not just me.
