I believe the process should be simple but I can't get it done. I tried ISO-read, ISO-write...incompatible!! Out of play area limitations.
I tried using shrink (set to region 1) to make a ISO file and burn with decrypter but that comes out with the same result.
Any suggestions using these or freeware? I do not have Nero and no knowledge of vobblanker so I would need step by step instructions of vobblanker if it's suggested.
Convertxtodvd is the perfect tool for the job, but unless you buy it, it will leave a water-mark on the video.
Vobblanker is free and can be used to convert your video files to NTSC format. Here a quick/crash course on how to do this:
1ST, create a folder on your desktop to put the converted files in.
-Insert the DVD-R containing the video in PAL format
-Run vobblanker and choose FILE-->OPEN DVD -In the Input section, Browse to and select the VIDEO_TS.IFO file on the DVD
-In the Output section, Browse to and select the folder you created earlier on your desktop.
-In the window below you should see a bunch of *.VOB files with the VIDEO FORMAT shown to be PAL (VIDEO_TS.VOB excluded), right-click on each *.VOB file and select Video Attrib, a window will open, select NTSC and click ok then yes.
Do this to each file untill the video format shows as NTSC for each.
-When done, click PROCESS at the bottom and wait.
Once the process completes, you should have the converted video files in the folder you created ready for burning to disk.
IIRC correctly dvixtodvd will do the same thing and it's FREE ware. ;) Available at AD no less. ;) linky
I've used the VOBblanker method before and it works just fine. ;) Although I've had issues with menus and such..... You have to make sure EVERY file is "marked" as NTSC...
