Free downloadable Burnout pack bikes coming out Thursday 18th September.
The update includes:
Pick from 2 motorcycles featuring male or female characters and start on a whole new progression to earn your Bike License.
38 new against-the-clock race events ? Burning Ride and Midnight Ride.
A brand new in-game 24 hr day / night cycle that impacts traffic density and available events. (It's fully customisable ? you can make it day/night/change the clock speed ? it's up to you.)
Dynamic weather brings an all-new look to Paradise City.
And if that's not enough, we've got 70 more Freeburn Challenges too.

Last I heard the trophy update was going to be separate from the bike pack. They may have changed it since.
Update: I read through the news article again and it says that the trophies are going to be coming a week after the bike update.

i hope not i think that more than likely that there will be a patch released for the game so that you don't have to replay the game again. im looking forward to the bike pack but, i am really wanting the trophies!! we will all find out on the 18th.

Sweet! I wish I found this thread before. I've been scouring forums to find out when in September it would be released. And starting it up every night. I love what they are doing with this game. I've had it for a while, but I am only 66% through it. This will add so much more value to it. I hope they continue to update this game with downloadable packs. Maybe new islands. I would pay for new packs every year. It would beat paying $60 a year for the series. Now they need to implement this method in sports games. No more 07, 08, 09, 2K7, 2K8, 2K9, etc... Just release new add-ons every year with updates and tweaks.

So has anyone tried it yet? I gave it about 15 minutes last night and really enjoyed it. I didn't think I would like the absence of crashing sequences (I was hoping to see the rider get thrown off the bike), but I do. It's nice and quick, and after an instant "black-out", your back on the bike. I immediately changed my time of day to midnight and ran a few challenges. The night-time environment is very immersive. Riding through areas that I was already thoroughly familiar with peaked a whole new level of interest. I like the speed and control of the bikes as well as the attention to detail. This update was definitely worth the wait. I hope more gets added and I would be willing to pay for more content.
The only question I have is if the time is "real-time" once you set it to what want. For example, if I set it to midnight and play for 6 hours straight, will the sun begin to rise?
