Is it true you can play burned wii games without chip?

Okay i did some researching and i read that you can burn wii games and be able to play without a modding chip. These guys said all you need is a good burner they recommended Game Copy Pro. And it's like any other burning/copying. Can anyone tell me is this true?

but you can play different region games with region free on the homebrew channel

Game copy pro is a scam anyway. Its just a box containing instructions on how to use DVD ripping software that isn't even included.

gone are the days when you used to be able to make a bootdisk like the dreamcast! oh how easy life was back then :)

nintendo has always been easy tho

snes = floppy backups
n64 = dr 64 cd drive backup
wii = clips :) :) :)
