After doing a search I found this link.

Many people ask questions without taking the time to look for it.

Hi Adam,
Download DVDShrink 3.1.4 then use this guide:
http://dvdshrink.info/compilation.php

You won't have any menus if you use Shrink, so if you need them, use TMPGEnc DVD Author, rack04 found a pretty good guide for its use.

Another guide can be found here:
http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/tmpgenc dvd author.htm

Doing a step by step is difficult when we don't know anything about your system, what programs you might have installed.

Hiya Guys,

The guide that rack04 found is ok up to a point:
when the guide's author advises "copy clip video data to the hard drive" - step 3a, 3rd image - this is NOT NEEDED and has a number of drawbacks (loses subtitles, takes time, loss in quality).

It is better to use the VOBs directly (as per chrismccann's guide).

Have Fun...

Life is just more of the same:

Aadam,

Sorry, but we all had to learn this by ourselves so can't help with the "Literally walk me through it " request - But, if you are working with commerical DVD's, you might want to look at DVD2One :-)

BTW, Welcome to the Club :-)

Pete

Of course, we'll always be here to point you in the right direction - - ->
