Can anyone help my wii comes up with a error message saying Error #001 unauthorized device has been detected. How can i stop this from happening thanks

You can give more detailed infomation, like your modchip type, firmware version, working backups, non-working backups etc...

Error 001 is caused when a game detects your modchip. This only happened with earlier modchips, such as the wiikey. If you have a wiikey then running the 1.9s update will fox your problem. If you have a different chip then you'll need to find out if they even support updating, as some of them do not.

We are not psychic so we need a little help on your end. You need to find out what Modchip you have.

The only 100% way of knowing what Modchip you have is opening the Wii to check. If you can not tell yourself by looking at the Modchip take a picture of it and post it for further help.
