hi there, I have an xbox 360, an hdmi cable 1.2a compatible with 1080i and 1080p. I also have an HD ready tv, All is linked and coinnected correctly. The problem is when trying to change the HD on the dash board from 480p it will not allow me to do so, for some reason the 780, 1080 options are not allowing this, in other words its not in true high definition. Any solution would be appreciated
regards. ps, the games such as gears of war are extremeley more detailed with the hdmi cable, im just wondering why the xbox menu doesnt allow me to change the screen to 1080 from 480?
the thing is im not sure sure i havent been able to find the tv guide or any info on the internet, it must do otherwise the quality of gears of war would not have been so greatly increased while using the hdmi cable. I suppose it could be the tv but im not sure as my large 40inch samsung i bought last month which is 1080 is in the repairs.
Very odd indeed. I am also using HDMI and i have no problems switching to the highest resolution, My TV is a Samsung as well (56" DLP) and the picture on it is great with 360 games.
