Can somebody please help me downgrade my PSP to 1.5 from 4.05 OFW. I need help with the magic memory stick because I already made a Pandora's battery, yet whenever I make a MMS and pop in the battery, the green light turns on but my PSP doesn't! Please, can someone that has fixed this problem help me find the files for the MMS!

Yeah the magic memory stick isnt made right...
Are you using vista, coz on windows vista making magic memory stick wont work...
I´m confused....you first sayed that you have a pandora battery so if you have the pandora then you don´t need another psp with cfw anymore. So the problem is in memory stick, it isn´t made right;try to remake it on xp windows computer.and be sure that it has maximum 2 gb...

Here is the thing, I decided to hardmod my battery which should have made it into a Pandora's battery. Then I tried to make a MMS. That is when the problem occurs. Everything is just fine, I upload all the files on to my stick. Then when I'm done, I shut off my PSP and put my hardmod in. Then before I can do anything, the green light turns on. I try to flip the power switch but nothing happens. Its like my PSP is turned off, but the green light is on. I am using Vista and have access to an XP, trying to downgrade from 4.05 OFW to either 1.5 or any CFW. I am using a PSP Fat (1001) and have a hardmodded 1800 battery. On half of the guides, it says that you need another PSP with CFW to proceed, so I tried other guides that do not have this requirement. I am running on a 1 gig Sony Pro Duo memory stick. Please help me!!!

Ok Your problem is the Memory Stick. You do infact need a CFW PSP in order to make a MMS. The green power light turns on because your battery was successfully modded to a Pandora battery and whenever you put in a pandora battery the PSP automatically turns on. Nothing else happens after the green power light turns on because the battery needs the right files on the MMS to operate correctly.
I can make you a MMS if you like for free just pay shipping both ways. Or you can buy one online.

Hi drblaster. I got a PSP 4.05 (Phat) and I would like to downgrade to 1.50 in order to install a custom Firmware. Is it possible to know how you were able to make the Pandora's battery ? Did you fix your MMS ? I'm newbie and a little lost with all I read on the net. Thanks

Hello angelus. Well lets start off with the Pandora's Battery. There are 3 ways to do this, get a friend's Pandora's battery, buy a datel tool battery which you can get off amazon, or hardmod the battery(official Sony battery only). I did the latter because I do not know anyone nearby that can lend me their battery and they do not ship to my area. A hardmod is the hardest way you can do this and should be your last resort by all means. I advise against it, but this is how i did it (keep in mind I have a PSP fat 1800 battery). I sliced the left side (make sure you start on the left side or the left side if you look at the back of your PSP wit the battery in it and sliced all the corners except the top one. But beware, do not cut deep. When a hole was big enough, I used a library card to do the rest. Eventually, I was able to pop the top off. Then things got tricky. You have to cut one little pin from the chip (see picture) I used a needle with some tape on it. If you so much as touch some of the motherboard, you can fry your battery. Here is a video tutorial of basically what I did. PS: Its not that hard but you must be extremely careful. You risk damage to your battery and yourself if you mess it up. If you touch one of the other pins with your needle you can fry your battery. Beware: Do this at your own risk.PPS: I haven't gotten the MMS yet so if you get it, PM me or leave a post. Thank you and I still need help so please keep posting!
