Running C/F 4.01 m33-2 & FIFA 07 won't play

Well i have decided to start a new thread as my problem seems to be with a new game now !!!

I started with custom firmware 3.10 OE-A then went to 3.52 and now am on 4.01 M33-2

For some reason FIFA 07 will not play and gives error message 80020148

I am now very p***ed off as this is the only game my son wants to play !

Have I done something wrong - have I jumped too many updates ?

We have other UMD games that work, the most recent being Smackdown vs Raw 2007.

I downloaded an ISO of FIFA 08 and 07 but both wont play (80020148 error)

I have seen a program that allows a downgrade of firmware but it relates to a Recovery folder which I cannot find.

Try this :

1. Turn off the PSP fully ( by holding the power button)
2. Turn it on again while holding the R button
3. This should bring you to the recovery mode
4. Go to Config and change the UMD mode to NP9660
5. Exit, and try it now

Yep tried that and all the other options and it still doesnt work.
What I did notice was an option to change the firmware between 1.5 and 4.xxx in the recovery console, which do i need to use ?

4.XX, though is has nothing going to do with it ...

yeh, i thought it should have said 4.01, so i tried installing the firmware again and just got a message saying 4.01 was already installed !!

Update: I have tried FIFA 07 disc in a standard (original sony firmware) and it works ok !!!!

Any ideas why it wont work on my psp with hombrew 4.01 ?
