I am considering buying another PSP. Should I buy a cheap PSP Fat or a new PSP Slim ? Budget is not a problem I was wondering if the Slim is better in anyway, or if it is as customisable ? Thanks.
first, the psp fat is not more available in my country- i don't know how it is in yours, but when PSP slim came out, fat and slim cost the same. And YES, Slim is musch better- has more battery life, TV output, fits more for your hand and has more space in UMD drive to put your UMD in.
What country are you in? Because I know that in GAME in britain sells them pre-owned. also That Phat (lol) has one MAJOR thing that the slim dosent,: 1.50 homebrew kernel. Me, being the proud owner of 2 slims and 3 phats, can honestly say that I was dissapointed with the slim. The extra battery battery life is barely noticable and it feels a tad flimsy in the hand. the TV and HD out is impressive, along with skype and lots of other things. I would recommend asking to try out both the phat and slim in-store and see which one feels good to you.

First red text: What? The slim has been capable of 1.50 kernel homebrew ever since 3.90. A little thing called TimeMachine. Not to mention all GOOD homebrew games, applications, and emulators run in 3.XX / 4.XX kernel anyway, making that obsolete. I don't even bother installing the add-ons anymore.
Second red text: LMAO! The Slim battery life actually rates LOWER than the phat, by about 20 minutes. But if you buy an EXTENDED LIFE BATTERY, lifetime almost doubles. I think 2X as much playtime is noticeable, just a little bit.
Last red text: Yeah, HD-out....if 480p is your standard of high-def gaming, I hate to see where you got your TV. Not to mention the HORRIBLE letterboxing that pisses the whole world off, makes you use only 2/3 of the screen.
