I bought D2Pro9, but do not work with my D2B chip set (DVD not spin).
Any body help, Do I need to program new fw.

The D29 is supposed to be compatible with D2B chipsets. Are you sure that it is installed properly? The fact that the DVD isnt spinning makes me think you have a short somewhere.

Maybe because its a D2B chip set, you have to solder the D2pro9 differently than the newer drives.

It says so in the installation diagram how to install it on pre-D2C boards. I don't think he would have missed that.

But yeah double check your connections.
