Alright here's my problem, I heard there were issues about upgrading the wii and stuff so I held out on upgrading forever, sticking with like 3.0u, then yesterday my wifi started acting weird so I reset the wifi settings and I forgot to say no to the update but thought little of it. Later that day I'm playing Brawl and then it gives me this green screen saying to remove the disk and power down the wii. I thought my Brawl (which was in poor condition and won't even play certain stages) had finally gave out, but then the wii wouldn't play Guitar Hero 3 or Trauma Center either. I have no Modchips on my wii, though I did get the Homebrew Channel through the Twilight Hack so I could use USB gecko.

It won't play any games at all, gamecube or wii, and I've already downgraded it back to 3.2u...

Have you tried going and formatting the wii's system memory?
If that doesn't solve it, you might have a bad disc drive, seeing as SSBB was buggy in the first place.

Homebrew Channel shouldn't brick or even semi-brick your wii under any circumstances I'm aware of.

So it's definitely a bad disk drive cause I reformatted and nothing. I need to open it up and fix it?
