SL games on DL DVD?

Hi all, I'm out of good single-layered DVD's and I have plenty of double-layered DVD's that I could use. Is it possible to burn SL ISO images onto a DL DVD and play it on a modded Wii? I've tried but it didn't work, or maybe the ISO file was bad.

SSBB is the only DL wii game. All the other games must be in a SL disc.
If you want to use your DL DVD, you can mod a xbox 360. But for wii game games, use a SL disc.

Booktyping? I'm a newbie at these kinds of terms, but that means that you change some stuff on the DVD so that my Wii will recognize it as something else (for instance, a SL DVD)? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyways, it seems my DL DVD's are going to waste (I have like lots of them).
