Wii firmware 3.1u and WiiKey 1.9s - SSBB update safe?

I've been searching the forums and have not found an answer to my question.

I have a Wii with firmware 3.1u and a WiiKey 1.9s. I have a backup copy of SSBB (USA Retail) and it wants to update my wii before I can use it.

(1) Wii firmware 3.3u has now replaced 3.2u so how do I put 3.2u on my system?

(2) Is the SSBB update safe or is it the same as the 3.3 update?

(3) What is the best strategy for me????

The SSBB update isn't a major firmware update (it won't update 3.2u to 3.3u etc).

u can update using Waninkoko's downgrader. but updating through a us retail disk is just fine
