I am really new with this, first post here.
I bought a fat PSP, and they told me that it is modded (i checked the firmware, and it was 3.33 m2 or something like, i do not have it here)
When i go to games, i can see a memory stick (with a trade mark) as an option, just below the UMD icon.
I uploaded some audio/video/pictures without any problem
Do i need something else to play games?
Thanks!!

here are some things to know if your psp is moded...
one; turn off your psp. Hold the Right Trigger button while turning on your psp. If its modded, it should take you to a nlack screen with some Configuration options.
Second, Reformat your Memory card off your psp then hook it up to your pc with USB and you should see a folder under PSP that says GAME150.
In the GAME150 folder, you put in your emulators there to play games.
In your ISO folder, which is not under psp folder, you put your ISO PSP Games and both emulators and ISO games will run off PSP Game Menu.

All you have to do is go to system settings then system information and look at what the system software is.
If it has SE/OE/LE/M33/GEN after the firmware version number then you have custom firmware.

mine is : 3.52 m33
I tried to turn it on with the right trigger pressed (i think that it is the single button in the top of the console, with a "R" letter if you see it from the top) and nothing happened

You don't use it, this tells you that its modded.
Now with your memory card, put it in the psp and on the psp main menu go to Settings, then go down to System Settings, click X and scroll down to Format memory stick. It will ask you if you want to format memory stick, press Yes and Yes again.
Now connect your psp to pc using USB.
Under your Psp drive, you should have lots of folders and you should also have a folder inside the PSP folder that says, GAME150.
If it does not show, then the PSP does not have a 1.50 kernel addon.
In that folder of GAME150, is where all your emulators such as Super Nintendo, Genesis, and Nintendo go.
You do wanted to play those games right???

I was messing around the "recovery menu, and i remember to find some option related to 1.50 kernel or m33, but i can not find it anymore.
After the format, i found a ISO folder.
I dropped there an ISO image, and it worked flawlessly!
I still would like to find a link to learn a little more
Thank you all

As i stated, i am new with PSP. I like everything that can be modded.
I have several router modded with dd-wrt, sansa and ipod MP3 player moded with rockbox, xbox with xbmc, etc.
I bought this PSP because i was trying to build a LCD projector (you can read about that in lumenlab{dot}com )
But my kid liked the psp, and it is going to be to him.
I read that there are different ways to have ISO or ???, i do not know the differences, advantages, etc.
Were should i put the wallpapers, what is the difference between different mod/version.
Also, what else we can do with the psp beside playing with it (tv interface, IR remote control, add a keyboard, just to say something)
Most of the tutorial that i found are related to "how to mod".
Now, i have a modded one, i plated some iso games, so i am looking for my next step.
Thanks for your offer
