Can anyone please tell me which chip i have in my wii.

It appears to be a wiifrii chip. They can be updated but you'll have to search on how.

Hi, do you think it could be a wiinja deluxe?

I have found this picture of one on google images:

It has the "W" on it like mine.
I sent it off to be chipped and i did actually ask for a wiinja deluxe, but the guy was a complete jerk so i was sceptical as to what he had put in.

And what would happen if i tried to update with the wrong firmware?

It could be a wiinja. I've never actually seen one installed, just pictures of them online.

I'm not sure about the deluxe, but the original wiinja was not updatable. And if you try to update with a firmware from a different modchip the update will fail.

I have installed the wiinja deluxe latest update and it went ok.
There was no confirmation but apparently you dont get one with w/deluxe.
I was getting 001 error on a couple of games but now they work fine,
