Ok so i have a jap psp on 4.01 m33. i used to run devhook a long time ago so i am slightly new to custom firmware but relatively used to it.

my question is why do i have to put emulators in the game150 folder? I have them in the game4.xx folder atm and they are working great and i dont have to change kernel when i wanna use them. Can someone explaint his to me as i have not found anything as to why they have to go here.

I have USA PSP with 4.01 M33-2.
I put my snes, nes, DGen, CPS1 + 2, in my GAME150 folder.
That signifies that its running off a 1.50 cfw version as those emulators need to be running off a 1.50 version or addon.
That's the way I understand it.

Still doesn't give me the info that i need, if they had to be in the game150 folder to work then why do they still work in the game4.xx? I just want to know, will it cause me any problems with them in the game4.xx folder?

some homebrew are designed under 1.50 kernel, and require specifics for it to run.

but since 1.50 is getting dated, it's being ported over to 2.xx/3.xx/4.xx kernel.


i've been putting everything under the GAME folder, with no problems.

So basically as long as it runs okay in the the game4.xx folder i can leave it there? I understand now, being as the games are designed under fw 1.5 they should be run there too.
