Ok I have an original Xbox version 1.0 that the dash is upto date and everything. I am trying to softmod it with a memory card that already has the files on it an original Splinter Cell game. If I boot the xbox with no game in ther system it will let me read the memory card. but if I boot the box with the game in it won't offer me the option to load saved game from memory card. Is there a setting or something that I am missing? Am I doing something wrong? Seems like it should be a fairly easy mod (softmod) but getting it started seems to be a pain so far. I would appreciate any help.
Sounds to me like you've missed a step ie you have to copy the saved games to the hard drive, then you can remove the memory card, then boot the game and access the saved games..
ok found out my issue. looks like my whole probelm was not knowing how to tranfer files from the memory card to the xbox itself. But I have since resolved this. and it went off without any issues. thanks. now to just find out how to ftp and find out how to exactly to put homebrew and other apps on it.
ok i cut all the cables and have my xbox seeing this lexar 256 as a memcard loaded the splintercell files to softmod, when i go in and try to copy anything from the usb memory card all i have is the delete option, no copy or transfer at all, can someone help me out i want xbmc on my machine!!!!!
looks like you had the same problem as I had at first. try highlighting the file you want to transfer from the usb/memory card to the hard drive and then push right on the directional pad. this should change the option form just delete to copy or transfer or something like that. it's a cakewalk from there
tried that too but it wont let me copy to the hard drive to memory card or vice versa, im dumbfounded maybe another type of memory stick is needed but why would xbox recognize this one lol
ok man i got ya now lol im retarded, never even used an xbox till 2 days ago i got one and wanted to use it as a mcxbox we'll see how it goes from here
